About the Product
Black Beard Weather-Proof Firestarter
Staying warm outdoors depends on being able to get a fire going, even in wet or windy conditions where a lighter or matches alone might fail. Black Beard starts with fully dried, braided cotton rope and infuses it with a blend of odorless, non-toxic waxes and oils, engineered to be waterproof and windproof while remaining completely safe to handle. Manufacturer testing indicates the blend won't evaporate or degrade in storage, so it's built to sit in a bag for years without losing effectiveness.
One stick provides more than 50 individual fires. Cut off only what you need and save the rest.
Directions: Cut off the desired amount, roll the fibers briskly between your hands to loosen them, separate and bunch them into a nest, then ignite with a ferro rod, lighter, or other fire-starting tool.
The Short & Sweet:
- Handmade in the USA from braided cotton rope and non-toxic wax/oil blend
- Waterproof and windproof
- 50+ fires from one stick
- Odorless, non-toxic, eco-friendly
- Lightweight (65 grams); no expiration date
