About the Product
5/5/0/3 *Speedy's collection includes this incredibly rare Indiana Fall Series 8 stamped Competition Marauder! Art is by Al Speedy Guerrero. Disc is from the early 90s. This disc has a note from Speedy!
NOTE: Old Competition plastic has some surface scuffs and scrapes, makes them unique. And just like you, this will never be made again.
The Tracer is basically a larger diameter and faster version of the Vortex, and was a very popular disc in the 90s for Discraft. The Tracer has a straight flight, a decent amount of glide, and can fly pretty far when compared to comparable discs of the era. The Tracer is certainly more stable than the Eclipse, and it was hit among power throwers of the time. The disc remained a popular disc for Discraft until the XL-X2 grouping of discs came on the scene. It would eventually go out of production around 1999.
In the past, Discraft used a plastic blend called "Competition Plastic", which is now out of production. This blend was known to be similar to their current Pro-D plastic and was used for discs like the Cruiser. Interestingly, some old-school Discraft enthusiasts remember the "Competition Plastic" fondly, even preferring it over the later Tournament Pro blend for certain discs like the Vortex.
